We've come a long way from the CPK

When I was a kiddo, I lovedlovedloved playing with Cabbage Patch Kids dolls. Loved. Them. We had some family friends (our Moms have been friends for.ev.er.) that lived a block away and they had twin daughters a year older than me. Wouldn't you know....they liked playing with CPK dolls, too!! I still have vividly fond memories of us trekking to each other's houses, giant Foley's shopping bags filled to the brim with dolls & all their requisite accessories. Ahh, memories.

I digress. One of the twins, Rosa had a daughter two months before I had Audrey and we have been desperate to get our kiddos together. Since we were in Houston for Thanksgiving, we took the opportunity to meet up with some other friends also in town for the holiday (who also had kids recently). Audrey was very excited:

Check out Rosa & I with our live CPK dolls!

I'm always a sucker for playing with babies and this was no exception. It was so great to finally meet all the babies!! Check out the full set of pictures here.

In other news, the room swap is coming along. Audrey's crib has been successfully moved into her new room. She probably won't start sleeping there until the weekend (just in case it goes horribly awful and we don't get much sleep), so until then she's tucked away in our room in the pack and play. Hopefully by then we'll get the rest of the furniture arranged and then we can put the finishing touches on the decor!!

Audrey is 5 months, 1 week and 6 days old

I love those pictures! Looks like the friendship will continue into the new generation. Or whatever.

I had forgotten all about Foley's. Whatever happened to good ole Foley's? Blast from the past.

I too loved my CPK dolls. I had 3 and a Koosa. Remember those?! Mine was a dog. The good ole days!
