Apparently, I don't see so well

Last week I would have bet my life that a tooth was sprouting. I even had visual confirmation! Not the photographic kind, though, so I guess it doesn't count, huh? Damn.

Yup, the little tooth that could have been has disappeared. I have no idea what it was that I felt and saw, but it is gone now. I guess we're no closer to teeth than we were last week. Bum sizzle.

And for photographic proof that she doesn't have any teeth yet, I give you the most adorable, gum-faced smile:

Audrey is 5 months, 1 week & 5 days old

Hi! I have been following your blog for a while. I think it is so wonderful that you can work from home most of the time. I wish I could do something like that but all my experience is working in biological science labs, and there just isn't much lab work that can be done at home. Oh well. Anyway, I was just going to say that you may not have imagined the new tooth. Sometimes the teeth start to come out and then retreat back into the gums for a while. I'm not sure why, but I have read that several places since I had my son.
Also, I just had to say that you've posted some cute pics of your daughter, but this is the cutest by far, in my opinion. She looks so happy! Great job!

It looks as though you have highlighted her hair. What have you done?! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?!!

I just want to reach in and muss up her hair. Those dimples are killing me. You've got a cute one there.
