I split a pair of PJ pants today.
I bent down to help Miller pack something in his suitcase and heard the most Gawd-awful sound.
Getting large in the mid-section sucks.

I'm so excited on a multitude of levels. Miller & I have officially booked our tickets & taken vacation days from work....we're going to LONDON!!
I've been "supposed" to go to London for work at least twice now and both times the trips were canceled for various reasons. Well, I guess being pregnant means you can't travel internationally (whatev) because my office recently sent one of my co-workers last month in my place. Booo. That's fine, because it gives me the opportunity to go on vacay with my spouse and we'll get to visit some friends of ours that have been living overseas since last fall. We miss them terribly so it'll be great to see them.
So, not only am I excited to see some great friends and take a much-needed vacation, but I'll get to cross off so many things from my list!!

I honestly don't know why I didn't just do this sooner, but there's a small part of me that is glad I waited until I was pregnant to do this. I haven't reached full-on nesting mode yet, but it did give me something really productive to do with my time.
I cleaned out mine & Miller's closets last weekend and finally finished boxing up all the crap. We've got 3 boxes of clothes that we'll keep until we have our neighborhood garage sale in May, and 2 HUGE boxes of clothes that we'll be donating to Goodwill. I'll be honest...I was shocked at how much shit we had between the two of us. There were clothes (on both sides) that hadn't been worn in YEARS!! It's amazing to see how much more space we have; and the fact that I'm pregnant just saves Miller the grief of me going out and buying crap to fill it back up again.
The next project will be to install a closet shelving/organization system to hopefully promote us keeping the closets neat & tidy. I'm thinking of doing the IKEA systems. They're pretty inexpensive and appear to be relatively simple to put together so that's probably the way we'll go. It's probably going to be awhile before we tackle that project, but I'm still considering the goal done since the clothes have officially been sorted and sent to their new homes.

It's kind of embarrassing to admit this, but I've never seen The Godfather. That is, until, today.
I always hear people (Miller included) talking about what an "awesome" movie it is while giving me that look like I've got a third eye when I explain that I've never seen it. C'mon, people! I was born in the 80's. And I'm a CHICK! This is not exactly the kind of movie that is setting off my movie-radar when I'm browsing the video aisles.
Well, thanks to my trusty 101 list, I finally conjured up the motivation to see it. You know...I have to admit that it wasn't half bad. It was pretty slow at first, and I ended up having to turn the closed captions on because I could barely understand "The Don," but overall I was pleasantly surprised. I guess I kept expecting Al Pacino to go all Cubano a'la Scarface or something.
Anyhow...I'm glad I can finally cross this one off the list (both the 101 list & the social list of "you have to see these movies"). I'm oddly curious to see what happens in Parts II and III. Thank goodness for goal # 93!

Holycrap. It's been an insane week. I couldn't be more glad/relieved/thankful that it's Friday.
Work has been absolutely crazy. I've got an ENORMOUS project that I've been working on, and my work-from-home status has made meeting my deadline extremely difficult. It would be so much easier to pop my head into someone's office and/or stop them in the hall. But I'm not complaining & I'm not moving. So I guess we just have to deal with it, right?
I've gotten a lot of remarks from people (both online & off) regarding my last post. While I realize that I'm not actually a fat cow and relatively speaking, I still have a long way left to go in this pregnancy, I was just having a "fat day" the other day and feeling sorry for myself. If I only had the confidence/ego of Kanye West, then we wouldn't be having these issues. But I don't and so we are. Deal with it.
Speaking of fat....here's the latest belly pic (taken today):

The latest picture of me:
Seriously. I feel like a fat cow these days. At my last OB appointment 3 weeks ago, my doctor told me that she wanted to gain 20 more pounds by the end of the pregnancy (approximately one pound a week). I initially thought she was crazy -- I had no idea how I was going to gain a pound a week. Fast forward to today (only 3 weeks later) and I've packed on an additional 5 pounds. Huh.
Otherwise, things have been going well. We finally settled on a name for out little bean, picked out nursery furniture & bedding, and have almost finished our registry. I'm on complete baby-shit overload after researching cribs, carseats, high chairs, and everything else needed to bring a baby home. I keep hoping it's going to get better/easier, but I hear that it just gets worse....
