I spent more money than I needed to on a new camera. I spent $17 on a book to learn how to take good pictures with said camera. Considering the fact that I am $(removed in case Miller is reading this) in the hole, you would think that this camera would be attached to my face and I would be firing off thousands of pictures on a daily basis.
Yeah....not so much. After having a crap-tastic camera for so long I just got used to not taking pictures all the time. I'm working on it.
Because I need a reason to show off some of my better picture-taking efforts, allow me to give completely random updates:
A couple weeks ago when I was in Houston to go back to work we hooked Audrey up with a doorway jumper (courtesy of my cousin Lin). She still hasn't figured out the jumping part, but it really hasn't stopped her from enjoying being in an upright position. Or from making cute faces.
We also spent plenty of time hanging out on the floor having play time with random toys.
By the end of the week, Miller came to pick us up and Audrey was none to happy to spend time with her Daddy.
Last week we headed over to Henrik's place for a play date. Henrik is a lot older than Audrey so his toys really didn't interest her much, but she was able to enjoy spending time in the ever-popular PBK Anywhere Chair.
On Saturday while Miller & his parents were at the Texas game I chilled with Audrey on the floor & got work done (at least that's what we're telling my boss). In between emails & procedure documents, I played with the trusty iPhone camera.
Tomorrow I'm going to have dinner with Ashley and I couldn't be more excited. Ashley & I "met" online and have quickly become pretty good internet friends. We have bonded over our half Asian-ness & our love of green onion pie. I have tortured her ovaries with pictures of my really cute kid. I have forgiven her for being an Aggie. I am sosososososo excited to finally meet her in person. It's going to be awesome.
I'm also squeezing in lunches & random get-togethers with Kristi & Kinley before they move to Detroit. I'm still in denial that they're moving (sucky!!) Please don't leave!!!!!
If you're still reading this, bless you. I haven't had a super-long blog posting in a while. It's awesome what you can get done while your child is sleeping & you're procrastinating for work. Hopefully I can do a better job of keeping up with updates & pictures. Don't hold your breath though.

Dude. That kid has some HAIR. I'm so jealous. Claire is TWO and doesn't have that much hair.
How exciting that you get to meet Ashley! If I were better at keeping in touch, I'd like to meet her too. And you. But man, I move to Houston and it's like I fell off the end of the Earth am I right?
