My mom is pretty handy with a needle & thread. I absolutely love that about her and take advantage of it when I have a fabric-related project. Usually there's not much I want/need, but now that I have a wee one the need for random home-made shit stuff (I really need to stop cussing) has increased exponentially.
I had seen several of my mom-friends sporting cool baby carriers and wanted one of my own. I found one I liked, but felt that spending $100+ was a bit extreme. Enter, my mom. We made a trip to the fabric store and $30 & a couple hours later, voilà!

So imagine my surprise & elation when I saw this post. Stupid I know, but I take pleasure in simple things these days.
