I had some time last week and decided to watch the next installment in my quest to watch the list. City Lights was, surprisingly, a really good movie. I honestly didn't think I would enjoy it since it was a silent film - I was really concerned about it being able to capture my attention. Once I set everything aside and dedicated my full attention to the film (seriously...it's literally impossible to surf the internet & watch a silent movie at the same time...), I found it to be a really endearing story. Charlie Chaplin was truly a pioneer & genius at his craft. His iconic character, The Tramp really represents so much in a societal manner, and leaves us with such a lasting image. I seriously doubt there is anyone in the world who could look at a picture of him and not know who he is!
