49. Donate my hair to Locks of Love

EEEKKK...I FINALLY got my hair cut!! Like most gals, I grew out my hair before my wedding so I could have a purdy up-do. After it was all said & done, I really liked the longer hair so I made a conscious decision to grow out my hair so it could be donated to Locks of Love. 3 years later, I finally reached my goal.

Behold...the before and after shots:

I'm totally thrilled with the cut...I'm going to go back in about a month and add some new color and probably get it trimmed up a little more. Yay for new hair-do's!!

I'm really excited to finally make my donation -- I still haven't decided if I'm going to donate to Locks of Love or Pantene Beautiful Lengths, but my hair is already in a bag ready to go once I make my decision!

Either way, I'm really thrilled to be able to cross this, and goal 66 (Get a drastic haircut) off my list!

Austin Peeps: Mia at Urban Betty was awesome.

It looks fantastic, and I'm sure you feel liberated. I don't know if you've donated yet already, but I remember reading some slightly questionable practices of Locks of Love. I think I read about them on snopes.com(?) Anyway, you might want to check it out.

That's great Tabatha!!! I donated mine last November when I finally got it cut. I don't know where they sent it, because the shop took care of that for me and said that Cancer patients used it.

I miss you!!

Your new haircut looks great! :-)

I can't believe how long it had gotten.

I have always thought about doing this, but never had the guts. But, seeing that your haircut looks so great and isn't that intolerably short, you've inspired me to maybe give it a try, especially before I start graying too much. ;-)
