WHEW!! What a busy couple of days it has been for S.B.G. & me. We have been really lucky to have a great group of Mommies & babies to help keep us entertained when we get bored and as the summer approaches we have been filling our days with playdate after playdate.
Today Camy and her Mommy came over for lunch and some obligatory girl time. Audrey & Camy are both relatively quiet little girls so it took a little while for them to warm up to each other.

Ugh. Sorry about the horribly blurry picture.
After our play time, we headed over to another house to play with a big group of kiddos. All the babies had a great time crawling around, playing with the huge assortment of toys, raiding diaper bags, and stealing each others' food & sippy cups. At one point, Audrey was having a blast standing on the alligator walking push toy.

Her "I am woman Audrey hear me roar" stance is hilarious. What a goof.
After a full afternoon of play time, we headed home for dinner. We have been trying to get Audrey to drink out of a sippy cup since January, and while she is doing okay with it she has really been struggling with the tilt-your-head-back concept, so more often than not I end up holding it so she can get her water. I have been wanting to transition her to a straw cup to make it easier for her to stay hydrated (no more head tilting) and keep the convenience simple when we are out and about (bring on the kiddie cups!) but she just couldn't seem to get the sucking action down. Until today!!! I don't know what clicked in her head today, but when I offered her the straw cup at dinner she went.to.town! She immediately guzzled half the cup of water and seemed so happy that she was finally able to do it all on her own!! I was/am so proud of her, you would think she had just won a Nobel Prize or something.

We'll be signing off the blog for a couple days...we are headed out to Lake LBJ for the weekend but I hope to return with lots of fun pictures of Audrey enjoying some fun in the sun!!
Audrey is 11 months, 1 week & 1 day old

We had a great time today, thanks for having us over! :) And I love seeing the littles together, they're too darn cute.
Your sippy cup update reminded me - these are the cups I was telling you about: http://www.tiltycup.com/
Of course, now she's going to an old pro with the straw cup, so the recc does little good. Sorry I forgot to send it before.
Have fun on your trip and be safe!
Awww.. Picture #2 is so cute..I love it.. That's awesome sippy cup girl. My girl still has full use of the bottle, no sippy yet; we haven't even tried.
