Miller left for a quick business trip yesterday afternoon leaving me alone to hang out with S.B.G. Awesome. When he's away, I always try to get a picture of her first thing in the morning so I can send him a cute "Good Morning, Daddy" picture text. Here is this morning's gem of cuteness.
We also had a first today!! Today marked the first time in Audrey's 11+ months that she was left in an official "daycare" environment! Miller & I are joining a local gym (that offers childcare services) and I decided to give it a trial run this afternoon. After dropping her off in the child care center & giving her a quick kiss on the head, I bee lined out of there (before she knew what hit her) and headed straight for the pool with a friend. What? You don't expect me to actually work out at the gym do you??? It was a lovely afternoon filled with gossip lovely adult chatter, sun & glorious lounging. Pretty much this:
Now I just have to figure out how to sneak alcohol into the pool area & we are all set!! Kidding. Sort of.
And for the record: Audrey did famously at the daycare. She did have a melt down when I went to pick her up (she missed me!!!) but was asleep in her carseat before I got the car out of the parking lot so, clearly, she had a great time. All in all, it was a huge Mommy-Audrey success.

ok, admitting a little secret here - I once put frozen daiquiris in sippi cups at the pool and had the extra in a thermos. it was just enough for a couple little cups with a friend. Just had to let the kids know which cups were theirs - FUN. Only did it once cause we were not driving.....

Dude, water bottles + vodka + sprite. We just need to husband to take care of the babes and drive our tan, happy butts home. Brilliant!
