All Growed Up: falling behind. AGAIN.

I am really starting to suck at this. Luckily it has only been a little over a week, as opposed to last time. Progress, people. Progress.

We woke up last Friday to find the world covered in snow. Okay, maybe not the world but a surprisingly large part of Texas. Entire world...Texas...same difference.

Unlike last year when we missed out on the snow [side note: OMG look at my teeny, tiny BABY!!!], we took full advantage and bundled up for some fun in the snow.

Snow melted and we were already in Houston. I had to travel back to Clear Lake to attend a baby shower for one of my high school girlfriends. I had a lovely time catching up with some of the oldest friends I have and am already excited for (someone else to be having) a new baby. On my way home I got stuck in traffic on the tollway. As we creeped along, I noticed something very odd. Can you spot it?

That's right, folks. People were exiting the tollway by driving off the on ramp. Surely this meant that the entire tollway was closed & all vehicles were being directed to do the same? Yeah. Notsomuch. There was a 3-car pile-up and traffic was merging down to one lane. It took me all of 10 minutes to get through it. I swear...Houston drivers are so freaking impatient.

Super Bowl Sunday. Audrey couldn't have cared less that "The Big Game" was on and instead focused her attentions on simultaneously crafting & eating. Smart girl.

Another day, another craft project. We decided to let Audrey try her hand at finger painting and it was met with mixed reviews. Things started off okay...

...but once she realized that she was going to get dirty she put the kibosh on the painting. {We did offer her a paintbrush, but by that point her "delicate sensibilities" were already disrupted and she was d.o.n.e.}

Audrey has started to get a little clingy again, thanks to her lower lateral incisors finally deciding to join the rest of her teeth up top. Her left one is already poking out and the right one is not too far behind. And a clingy baby means that if you aren't holding her, she is hot on your heels at every turn. And it kinda looks like this all day.

Clinginess be damned...we got out of the house. We headed back to Stomping Grounds

and had another great time. We were one of about 6 people in the entire joint so there was plenty of space for Audrey to run amok and have a blast. She particularly loves banging on the giant bubble window thingies.
