14 Months!!

Ho.Le.Crap.

Little S.B.G. is 14 months old today. It still boggles my mind how quickly we went from this:

She's a walking fool and is all over every inch of the house. So much for my previous claims that I had a "good baby" that wasn't all that interested in kitchen cabinets, electrical outlets, crap on top of the entryway table, etc. I have officially eaten my words. Plugs are being covered at an alarming rate. Cabinet locks have been purchased and will be installed soon. Crap on top of the entryway table is, well, crap.

She seems to be learning a ton these days, too. We've been spending a lot of time focusing on her sign language - she's doing pretty good with "more" and "finished" - but she isn't consistent yet. Especially when she's hungry and would rather scream at you for more food instead of offering a polite sign. I've been trying to get Audrey to blow kisses - particularly when we're having Skype calls with 阿婆 & Grandpa - and she'll do it maybe 50% of the time. She still refuses to learn her body parts; all attempts to teach her where her belly/nose/ears/head/whatever have gone unnoticed. She loves to point at body parts in her various books, but try to get her to point on herself (or another person, for that matter)? Forget it.

We're heading out tomorrow morning for our first family mini-vacation and we couldn't be more excited. Here's to hoping that Audrey loves the sand & surf!!
