90. Win $10 off a single lottery ticket

I'm RICH!

Well, not really. But I did win $16 courtesy of the Texas Lottery. I love playing scratch-offs, but I've always had the worst luck when it comes to actually winning, so this goal was really going to be a huge one for me.

Miller bought me a couple "Bonus Break the Bank" tickets and I won $5. Seeing as how we were already in the hole $5 (since the "Bonus Break the Bank" tickets were $5 each, I figured I should just hedge my bets and just trade my winnings in for a fresh ticket. When I got to the gas station, the attendant told me that they were out of "Bonus Break the Bank" tickets but would give me regular "Break the Bank" tickets instead. Lottery tickets are lottery tickets, right? I headed home with my fresh set of 5 scratch offs.

When I got home I was pretty stoked to realize that I had 5 "Break the Bank" tickets, and was already up another $5. (For you non-lottery players, "Break the Bank" tickets are $2 each.) The attendant made an honest mistake and exchanged my $5 winner for $10 in lottery tickets! SCORE!

I sat down with my tickets & my shiny quarter and began scratching away. The first two tickets were duds and I figured my good luck streak was coming to an end, but my third and fourth tickets were gold mines. I won $4 on one and $12 on the other bringing my grand total up to $16. YIPPEE!

I was going to trade in my $16 for more lottery tickets, but decided it would just be smarter to take my winnings and run. Oh, who am I kidding. They were out of "Break the Banks."
