Tabatha & Kumar go to White Castle

I've been really fortunate that my last 3 weeks in New Jersey have been spent at a Marriott Residence Inn. I've got my own little kitchen so I've been able to cook my own dinners and not feel obligated to eat every single meal out at a restaurant.

I'm not one for fast-food hamburgers, but I've been passing White Castle every day on my way to/from work. Add to that, the countless commercials for White Castle played on the television....and the movie that brought this little chain to the forefront of pop culture. It's not In-N-Out Burger, but I still had to partake.

First, let me just comment on the size of my beverage. HOLYSHIT! For a place that sells mini-burgers, the large drink was out of control. Well...the food was nothing to write home about. Each burger was about 2"x2" (square, mind you) with a little patty. I have to admit that seeing a square meat patty on a square bun is a little strange, but I guess processed foods will turn out like that. The first burger wasn't that bad (I was hungry), but by the 4th one I was definitely ready to be finished.

I do have to admit that the most enjoyable part of the meal was the little factoids & jokes that White Castle puts on the bottom of the burger boxes. I appreciate that they give you something to read while you shove your face full of mini-food. One of the jokes struck me as funny so I'll share. "If one is for the money, and two is for the show, three is to get ready, and four is to go; what is five and six?" Highlight the area below for the answer.

Eleven.

Okay...maybe it wasn't that funny...

I am going to sound like a woman on this one, but oh well.

The reason for the big, enormous, over sized drink is that they are compensating for something on the small end.

You ate FOUR of them!?!?!! ;) That's awesome. I've never had a White Castle myself, but I've enjoyed an In-n-Out burger. I had to share your "joke" with my husband. He rolled his eyes. ha ha ha!
