I just got finished watching Sunset Blvd. less than an hour ago, and I couldn't WAIT to post a review. This was probably one of the more entertaining movies off the list that I've watched (so far). There really isn't much to comment on regarding the plot....consider this the original Fatal Attraction, if you will. The story is about a fading movie actress that has gone bat-shit crazy. She's trying to write a screenplay (that she will star in, obviously), to culminate in her return to the big screen. She hires a writer to help - and that's where the hilarity ensues.
The movie also contains one of the most classic movie lines ever: "Alright, Mr DeMille, I'm ready for my close up." Honestly, I did not know that the line had come from this movie, so you can imagine my surprise when it was uttered. BUT, the pose/face of the actress as she uttered this line was ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS. I literally burst out laughing. Judge for yourself:
See? Bat-shit crazy.
